Reprint This! Charlton's Billy the Kid

Ok, maybe you don't need to reprint all 100+ issues, but let's at least get the issues with John Severin art back into circulation. Severin is a master of western storytelling, and these original issues can be a real pain to track down. Once we've reprinted all of the Severin stuff, we can move onto the cool looking Pete 'PAM' Morisi stories, as well as the Rocke stuff. This series featured some truly excellent artwork, and it's a shame that it has not been give the attention it deserves. If memory serves, I've seen at least one Dick Giordano drawn story inked by Al Williamson. Very nice. I think that an inexpensive black & white volume would work just fine, as Severin and Morisi would look just great (especially if some grey tones were added). Please reprint this, so I can stop searching for these books!

AC did reprint a few Billy the Kid stories by Severin in 'Great American Western' #2, & 'Young Gun' #1!

Roger Broughton did reprint a Jose Delbo Billy The Kid in 1997's 'Blazing Western' #1!

Ah, but let's not forget the wonderful Joe Gill/Warren Sattler issues that closed out the run (of originals), from 110 to 122 or so. Lovely stuff.

You'll be somewhat less than shocked to find out that I tracked down all the Charlton all-Severin reprint issues (#s 125-129, I think) not that long ago. Those can be had quite inexpensively -- most I paid was maybe $2.80 from Mile High, & that's because it was in higher condition (VF or so) than I ever go for.

That's great news Dan. I haven't had much luck tracking down those reprints (like the Ditko ones - they seem harder to find). Not a lot of late 70s, early 80s Charlton western up here in Toronto. I should try an online source.
